an Extended Autumn Crowing Have you everconsidered how valuable an extension of the Autumn Growing period would be to you ? Just what a difference an extra couple of weeks or so of growth would make to your pastures and to the Greenfeed crops that are so important this year for winter feed. At the same time, estimate in £ s d the value of starting the growth of pasture grasses a few weeks earlier in the spring. The extra volume of stock feed produced by Super is now generally recognised. The increased mineral content, and consequent higher food value, of Greenfeed, Pasture Grasses and Clover grown with adequate and regular applications of “Super,” also has widespread recognition. WHAT mr WORTH TO YOU This year “ Super ” by stimulating Autumn Growth and by actually extending the growing period, will render a service o£ incalculable value to farmers in every part o£ Canterbury. Never was the necessity for developing winter feed more pronounced than it is to-day, and farmers can rely on "Super” to give them the assistance so urgently needed to build up their pastures and Greenfeed crops for the rapidly approaching winter months. GREENFEED CROPS In order to make the most of the short Autumn growing period, liberal use should be made of “Super.” This quick-acting, highly-soluble phosphate will produce the quick, high-quality growth that farmers require, and it will be found that it pays handsomely to use a bag or so—in most cases 2 bags—■ of “Super” to the acre with all Greenfeed crops. SuPEß'doh it fobaFEWSHHIINGS PASTURE TOP-DRESSING Early Autumn is the most favourable time of the year in which to Top-dress pastures. Applications of at least 2cwt of “Super” per acre should be made as soon as possible in order to stimulate Autumn growth and extend the actual growing of grasses and clovers further into the winter. Many pastures will be renewed this Autumn, and it is well to bear in mind that most Canterbury soils call for a broadcasting of 5 to llcwt of Carbonate of Lime per acre just prior to solving. In addition, excellent results will be obtained by the use of at least 2cwt of “Super” per acre. Where it is inconvenient to broadcast Lime, “Basic” or "Reverted” Super at the rate of at LEAST 2 bags to the acre is recommended . . . this will not correct an acid soil, but it does give splendid results where lime is required and cannot be conveniently used. PER ACRE A liberal use o£ “Super” this Autumn can avert loss and double your profits.
