ORARI BRIDGE
SOCIAL EVENING Members of the Orari Bridge Jubilee Committee entertained their friends at a social in the Orari Bridge Hall. The evening was spent in dancing, cards being played in the supper-room. Music was supplied by Mesdames J. Charles, M. Metcalfe and R. Brown (Woodbury), Misses T. Turton and R. Ashby and Messrs R. Giles, C. Ashby, A. Pringle and F. Popplewell. A solo was sung by Miss Tate, accompanied by Mrs R. Brown. During the evening Mr W. Ford thanked all for their attendance, mentioning specially the musicians, who had done much towards making the evening a success. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mr and Mrs S. Dean. Mr W. Ford was M.C. TENNIS Members of the Geraldine Post Office Tennis Club played a return match with the local club. The visiting team proved the winners by 11 sets to 3. Glover 5. Men’s Doubles: Robertson and Simmonds 6, Alec Morris and W. South 5; Sullivan and Parkyn 6, J. Slattery and H. South 4. Mixed Doubles: Mrs Crawley and Robertson 6. Miss Joyce Ford and Alec Morris 1; Miss Weaver and Simmonds 6. Miss O. Ford and W. South; Mrs King and Sullivan 6, Mrs F. E. South and J. Slattery 5: Miss King and Parkyn 5, Miss Glover and H.
