PLIGHT OF WHEAT INDUSTRY United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 23, 1 a.m.) CANBERRA, March 22. The Royal Commission on the wheat industry has recommended the Commonwealth Government to allocate its £573,250 grant for the relief of wheatgrowers as follows: New South Wales, £100,000; Victoria, £192,000; South Australia, £127,000; Western Australia, £137,000; Queensland, £12,000; Tasmania, £5250.

The Acting Prime Minister (Dr. Earle Page) introduced a Bill to-day authorising the aforementioned grant.
