Addressing the Lawn Tennis Association Council, Sir Samuel Hoare said he was convinced that it was time to show the supporters of the Czeeho-Slovakian motion, tabled at the International Federation on March 11, that they had taken the right attitude, and that before long opposing countries would change their minds. It was particularly satisfactory that the Empire was united on the subject, the Dominions agreeing that Britain's rules should be altered in accordance with the new developments.
