KING’S SIGNAL
WILL LIGHT BEACON ON MAY 6 British Official Wireless (Received March 21, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, March 20. It is announced that the King will himself give the signal for the lighting of the chain of bonfires which Boy Scouts are organising throughout Britain in preparation for the Silver Jubilee on May 6. By pressing’ an electric button in Buckingham Palace at 9.45 p.m., his Majesty will light a beacon in Hdye Park.
