FOUND DEAD
OLD MYSTERY CLEARED UP United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, March 13. A skeleton, fully clothed, was found on a mountain near Bryncroes, in Merionethshire. It is believed to be that of an Australian named Kendal or Kendell, who is said to have accompanied a cricket team to England. At the inquest a verdict of found dead was returnedj There is no suspicion of foul play. In addition to £29 in notes in his pocket, there were nine pound notes torn up in a wallet, also a gold watch. There were no other clues of identity. Kendell was aged about 50, short and stout, black hair, and clean shaven. He took rooms at Barmouth in September, saying he was a Quaker. He had lived in Westmoreland and New Zealand. He departed on November 9, leaving two days’ extra rent, saying he wished to settle lest anything should happen him.
