CONTROL OF BOWLING » M.C.C. SUPPORT FOR UMPIRES United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, March 13. Marylebone has circularised umpires detailing the method of dealing with body-line, adding that the umpires will be strongly supported by Marylebone in any action they may take under law 43, to prevent the practice of direct attack on the batsman standing clear of the wicket. Umpires are reminded that it is their duty to report forthwith to the secretary of the Marylebone Club any case, on or off the field, of a captain or player criticising or showing resentment of the umpire’s decision. The impire must, however, notify the captains during the match of intention to report.
