WILL BUDGET BALANCE THIS YEAR? British Official Wireless (Received March 13, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, March 12. With three weeks to run before the end of the financial year, the latest Treasury returns show that the ordinary revenue up to March 9 amounted to £633,326,254, which is £21,727.865 more than last week’s figures. The estimate for the year is £706,520,000. At the corresponding date last year, ordinary revenue totalled £676,098,092. The income tax collected last week amounted to £10,305,000, bringing the total to date £212,883,000, compared with £211,5:2,000 at the corresponding date last year. The budget estimate for the whole year is £219,500,000. The total ordinary expenditure to March 9 is £664,255,639, compared with £651,185,812 on March 10 in 1934. The total estimated ordinary expenditure for the current year is £715,769,000.
