RECENT RUMOURS DISCOUNTED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright BRISBANE, March 12. Reports from London that the Commonwealth Government will seek the appointment of the Duke of Kent as Governor-General are discounted in official circles. It is understood that the matter was discussed prior to the departure of Mr and a decision was reached that the time was not appropriate for members of the Royal Family as Governor-General.
