CHANGE OF FORTUNE

PLIGHT OF HUSBAND OF GERMAN PRINCESS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 11, 7.0 p.m.) PARIS, March 11. Despite his shabby clothes and two days’ growth of beard, a French journalist in a Luxemburg cafe recognised Alexander Zoubkoff, who jumped into fame a few years ago by marrying Princess Victoria of Hohenzollern. He is now working as a luggage porter. Zoubkoff said: “I once spent £15,000 a year here and used to give £3 tips. Now I can hardly wait for Fridays, when the theatrical companies move, and when I help with their luggage. I only manage to get one meal a day. I am unable to get a permit to leave France. Germany, Belgium and Italy —they all politely tell me to go somewhere else.”
