RIFLE SHOOTING
TIMARU DEFENCE CLUB On Saturday afternoon the Timaru Defence Rifle Club fired the last optional shoot in the championship. The conditions were 10 shots at 300 and 600 yards. The day was fine, but the light' was hard, especially at 300 yards and the wind was oil the sea. The trophy competition results for the day were M. Headley 1, A. Agnew 2, C. Paine 3. M. Headley won the gold rifle for the week with 92 off the
