SEASON’S RECORD PRICE FOR MERINO

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received February 7, 11.0 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 7. At to-day’s wool auctions, greasy merino fleece made the season's record price of 22d per lb. This price was paid for five bales from Yass. There was a spirited demand for all descriptions and prices were very firm. The offerings totalled 11,450 bales, of which 11,086 were sold, also 585 privately.
