The Kini is scheduled to reach Timaru to-day from Wellington to discharge a part cargo of coal from the West Coast. She will proceed to Oamaru returning from the south on Friday to load for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. The Wainui is expected to arrive today from Dunedin to load for Wellington. Napier and Gisborne. The Storm, on the Wellington, Picton, Wanganui and New Plymouth rim, is due to arrive to-morrow from Oamaru. It is expected that the Port Whangarei will be here to-morrow from Dunedin. Wellington, Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarei are her j loading ports. Wellington. Picton, Nelson, Wanganui and New Plymouth cargo should be taken from Timaru to-morrow by the Holmdale from Oamaru. . Waikouaiti at Dunedin The inter-colonial steamer Waikouaiti has reached Dunedin from Bluff. She is due here on Friday to discharge Australian cargo and to load for Sydney, sailing the same day for Lyttelton, thence Oamaru, Bluff and Sydney. Narbada Delayed The Narbada, which was delayed by rain in Wellington, is at present at Lyttelton discharging cargo from the East. She is now due here on Friday, sailing the same day for Dunedin. Orepuki Replaces Opihi The Union Company advises that the chartered steamer Orepuki will enter the Dunedin-Wellington-Nelson-New Plymouth trade at the end of January in place of the Opihi. The latter vessel will be laid up at Wellington. The Orepuki is expected here on February 1. The Canadian Britisher The Canadian Britisher, which arrive at Auckland from Halifax yesterday, is inaugurating the new service with calls only at New Zealand ports. She will discharge and load at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, and from Dunedin she will return to Halifax via New York and Boston. Kumara in Ballast The Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Kumara is to leave London for New Zealand in ballast on January 26 to load for Great Britain. The vessel will come to New Zealand via the Cape of Good Hope and Sydney. Laburnum’s Last Cruise The Imperial sloop, H.M.S. Laburnum, commanded by Commander A. H. Maxwell-Hyslop, returned to Auckland on the morning of January 14 after her final southern cruise, and berthed at the Devonport Naval Base. The vessel is now undergoing preparations for her voyage to England, where she will be dismantled. The Laburnum is expected to leave Auckland about the end of next month. She will be replaced on the New Zealand station, probably about May, by the new oil-burning convoy sloop, H.M.S. Wellington. Personal Captain W. D. Archibald is now in command of the Abel Tasman. Mr V. Miller, previously third officer of the Kaimiro, has exchanged ships with Mr H. J. Kemp, who held a similar position in the Waipiata. Mr P. Menhennet has returned from holiday leave, and has rejoined the Rangatira as fourth engineer. Mr T. H. Downes is to join the Narbada in Wellington as third engineer, relieving Mr W. E.
