HARBOUR WORKS AT PORT OF SPAIN

TENDER AWARDED IN ENGLAND ’ British Official Wireless (Received December 17, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, December 15. The contract for the harbour works at the Port of Spain, Trinidad, including a deep water wharf and dredging the approach to the channel and basin, has been awarded by the Crown agents for the colonies to a London firm. The work is expected to take four years, and involves an expenditure of £950,000. The project will be helped by a free grant from the Colonial Development Fund.
