SOUTH CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION MATCH COMMITTEE A meeting of the Match Committee of the South Canterbury Cricket Association was held last evening. Present —Messrs R. C. M. Sunley (chairman), G. R. Powell, A. E. Fawcett, D. Murchison and M. J. Angland. Advice was received from the Temuka Club that its ground would not be available next Saturday. The chairman said that it would now be necessary to alter the order of the remaining' matches of the first grade competition. It was decided that a re-arrangement of the series be made. At the request of the country clubs a tentative series was drawn up for Thursday matches. The Timaru Nomads Club wrote advising that i team would be available for November 29. It was decided to ask the Temuka Club to play the Nomads Club on that date. The committee decided to submit to the country clubs the following dates for representative trial matches: — North v. South Country Clubs, at Timaru, December 6. Town v. Country, at Timaru, December 13. The following matches were set down for next Saturday:— First Grade. Old Boys v. Star, at Park. Messrs A. Bennett and P. Kyne, umpires. School v. Celtic. Rectory, Messrs J. Ballinger and D. Murchison, umpires. Geraldine v. Timaru, Mr B. R. Macdonald to appoint. Second Grade. Pareora v. Celtic, Mr R. Munro to appoint. Star v. West End, Anzac, Mr D. F. McKenzie. Fairview v. Old Boys, School Park No. 1, Messrs W. K. Roundhill and R. McKenzie. Third Grade. Railway v. Old Boys, Caledonian, Mr p, E. Islip. . . ~ Waimataitai v. Washdyke, Ashbury, Mr H. E. Lawson. , „ Star v. Pareora, School Park No 2, Mr C. Roundhill. friendly matches Following is the draw for Saturday next:— _ ..
