TO-DAY’S RECIPE ❖ ONION AND CHEESE SOUP. <♦ lib onions, 11 pints of water, y 3 breakfast cup of milk, loz of % flour, loz butter, loz grated cheese, 1 teaspoon salt, 5 teaspoon pepper. | Boil onions in water for 1 ❖ hour. Press through a sieve; X make white sauce, add puree ❖ gradually. Season. Boil 5 minutes. Remove, then add cheese, and X stir until melted. Serve very ►> hot.
