The Minister of Interior (Mr Paterson) stated that the Government’s decision to prevent the entry of Herr Kisch is irrevocable. If the decision of the High Court goes against Kisch, he will probably be transferred from the Strathaird to the Narkunda, which is due to sail for London to-day. The Strathaird will sail in the afternoon for Brisbane, thence on a pleasure cruise to New Zealand. DECISION OF HIGH COURT RELEASE FROM CUSTODY ON SHIP ORDERED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 16, 10.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 16. Mr Justice Evatt, of the High Court, to-day ordered the discharge of Herr Egen Kisch from the custody of the Strathaird’s captain. Kisch was carried off the ship on a chair. He was greeted with a few desultory hand-clasps and was then escorted by police and customs officers to a taxi-cab, in which he was conveyed to the police station, where he was given a test in Gaelic. He was then arrested and charged with being a prohibited immigrant. He will appear before the Court to-morrow.
