The Waikouatiti arrived from Dunedin yesterday morning to discharge ; Australian coal and general cargo. She is to load here for Sydney and Newcastle and should sail that afternoon for Lyttelton. The Breeze is expected to arrive from the south to-morrow to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. She ( should get away for Lyttelton the same j day. 1 The Opihi also is scheduled to reach Timaru from the south to-morrow. After taking Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth cargo she is to depart for the north via Lyttelton. The Waimarino is set down to call here from Dunedin on Tuesday to load for Picton, Wellington and Auckland. The Parera is listed to reach Timaru on Wednesday. She js due from Dunedin and is to load for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato. Rangitiki for London. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor liner Rangitiki was due at Napier on Wednesday from Tokomaru Bay to complete her Homeward loading. She is to clear Napier finally to-day for London, via Panama. Port Fairy Leaves Balboa. The C. and D. Line has received cabled advice that its motor ship Port Fairy, en route from London to Suva, Dunedin and Lyttelton, cleared Balboa last Friday. She is due at Suva on November 28, and at Dunedin on December 5. British Tonnage for Finland. As a result of an agreement having been reached between Finland and Britain regarding the claim for 120,000,000 Finnish marks in respect of the employment of Finnish vessels during the war, it is reported that negotiations are proceeding with a view to placing orders for vessels of this value with British yards. The Finnish claim for compensation applied to the period after Britain’s recognition of Finnish independence, and discussions regarding the matter have been proceeding for many years. Abel Tasman from Australia. The intercolonial steamer Abel Tasman. which loaded at New South Wales ports, left Sydney on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.
