SEVENTEEN CHARGES ADMITTED By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, November 15. A young man who prowled in the suburbs, entering houses in the early morning, and stealing money and goods, admitted 17 charges in the Police Court to-day. He was John Francis Schdroski (29), a cook. Most of the offences were committed between April and October, when he stole £sl in money and £l4O in goods. The accused, in a statement, said he usually operated between 2 and 4 o'clock in the morning. On entering a house in his bare feet, he usually opened the front and back doors, enabling of a speedy exit. He often had supper in the kitchen, and drank milk left on the doorstep. In one house he was standing in a bedroom wherein were a sleeping couple, when someone coughed, and called out, so he left hurriedly.
