A grand jury, investigating the prosecuting record of District Attorney Burton Fitts, who is under a perjury indictment, .found that testimony in the mysterious suicide in 1932 of Paul Bern, husband of Jean Harlow, the actress, that may re-open the entire case. The original grand jury returned a verdict of suicide, but the testimony reveals that several domestics in Bern’s home doubted this and expressed the opinion that he was murdered. The foreman of the present jury, however, insisted that they are not interested in the case, although according to reports one expert testified that the cryptic “suicide” note Bern left is a palpable forgery.
