PROSPECTS FOR TO-DAY Weather indications are particularly favourable for the concluding day of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s meeting and a successful conclusion of Carnival Week appears certain. A pleasing feature of the card is the acceptance of 17 horses, including 10 starters in the New Zealand Cup, in the Metropolitan Handicap, the stayers’ race of the day.
