Showing remarkable accuracy in a high wind, the American professional golfers won three foursomes against Australia at the Lakes course to-day. Results: Laffoon and Craig Wood (U.S.A.) defeated W. Bolger and Spence 5 and 4. Bunyan and Cooper (U.S.A.) defeated Stewart and V. Richardson 6 and 5. Shute and Diegel (U.S.A.) defeated Naismith and Cohen 7 and 6. The Americans, who outclassed their opponents, were rarely off the fairway and covered the pin with their second Laffoon and Wood played dazzling golf. The singles matches will be played to-morrow.
