TIMARU LADIES’ CLUB The ocial opening of the Timaru Ladies’ Bowling Club was held on Tuesday afternoon. A large gathering of visitors and representatives from other clubs attended. The president (Mrs G. Sewell) welcomed the guests and wished them a most enjoyable afternoon. Mrs J. Hunt spoke on behalf of the Centre. The Mayoress (Mrs Satterthwaite) then declared the green open. Mrs Hunt threw up kitty, and Mrs Currie rolled up the first bowl. A competition was won by Mrs Currie. During the afternoon cheers were given for Mrs R. Wilson and Mr Fer-

guson for their donations of cups—Mrs Wilson’s for the club’s singles championship, and Mr Ferguson’s for the Centre.
