ON THE WRIST
NEW BEAUTY CONTAINER The smallest and most incredibly complete beauty casket has arrived in Sydney from the Continent, says a writer there. It is one more amazinginstance of the trouble manufacturers will take to please women, and thereby improve their finances. Only women will pay for novelty. This complete make-up box is in the form of a chromium composition and enamel bracelet. An enamel flap opens to reveal rouge; beneath it is another container with powder. Four corners of the square ornament—which is made in colours to match any frock—hold tiny tubes of lipstick and eyebrow pencil, a nail file, and a perfume container. Curved on the inner side of the bracelet is a detachable comb. For some time Sydney jewellers have been stocking cigarette cases with powder and lipstick attachments, and there is a lipstick case which is fitted with a perfume atomiser. But this is the very first time so many necessary beautifiers have been assembled as a bracelet to be worn on the wrist.
