STRONG OPPOSITION

LEVY ON WOOLGROWERS By relegrßdo —Press Association DUNEDIN, October 23. The following resolution, carried by the Otago and Southland Sheepowners’ Association, has been forwarded to the Prime Minister:— “The Otago and Southland Sheepowners’ Association strongly protests against the proposed legislation appointing three Government nominees with authority to control ar.d levy on the sheepfarming industry. Sheepfarmers had no opportunity to place their views before the Dairy Commission, and as its recommendation vitally affects sheepfarmers, their evidence should have been called for. We consider that the measure is dangerous. Socialistic and unnecessary.”
