An Auckland romance! "Queen City” engaged couple who drifted apart long long ago have just “made it up.” It was a lovers’ quarrel that separated them, and a very silly one, as lovers’ quarrels so often are. The girl hated tobacco. Lots of girls did then. The youth loved his pipe. They parted She remained in Auckland. He went to Queensland, and made his pile. Not long since he was in Melbourne on holiday, and by the merest chance ran across his old flame. Neither had married. Now they are going to be. Had Romeo only smoked “New Zealand Toasted” when they fell out two fond hearts would have continued to beat as one, because not even the lady in the case could have objected to New Zealand tobacco, with its delightful fragrance. She would have “loved” it as she does now. There are five brands' Riverhead Gold, Navy Cut No. ? (Bulldog), Cavendish, Cut Plug No. 10 (Bullshead), and Desert Gold. All five are practically free from nicotine, the poisonous stuff the source of all the ills peculiar to smokers
