Dr and Mrs Bennett (Southland) are staying at the Grand. Miss E. Bradshaw, Oamaru, is the guest of Mrs Routledge, Temuka. Mr and Mrs R. M. Byford (Dunedin) are staying at the Empire. Mr and Mrs J. H. A. McDonald (Winton) are staying at the Grand. Miss I. Oldbury (Christchurch) is visiting Timaru and is at the Grand. Mr and Mrs E. L. Mead (Wellington) are staying at the Grosvenor. Mrs G. Smith Morton (Oamaru) and Mrs G. Macpherson (Dunedin), are staying at the Grosvenor. Miss Peggy Gray, of Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs Fred Rushen, Church Street West. Miss Elizabeth Acland. who was the guest of Miss Diana Orbell, Levels, returned home yesterday. Mrs Tyndall Harman, Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs Guyon Macdonald, Orari. Mrs F. Newton. Maltby Avenue, returned on Saturday from a short visit to Christchurch. Miss Ethel Barclay, who is the guest of Mrs G. Barclay, Geraldine, will return to Christchurch to-day. Mrs Maitland Rich, Christchurch, was the guest of Mrs G. Rich, Cave, for the Waihi School sports. Mrs R. Fowler, who was the guest of Mrs F. F. A. Ulrich, Elizabeth Street, returned to Christchurch yesterday. Mr and Mrs N. Taylor, who were staying at the Dominion, have returned to Dunedin. Mr and Mrs R. J. Jameson (Rotherham) are visiting Timaru and are staying at the Grosvenor. Mr and Mrs W. H. Atkinson and Miss Elva. Atkinson (Mason Hills) are staying at the Grosvenor. Mr and Mrs P. Morse (Waiau) are on a visit to Timaru and are at the Grosvenor.
Mr and Mrs A. J. Du Pont (Wellington) are visiting Timaru and are at the Grosvenor. Mr and Mrs D. Phillips and Mr and Mrs J. Hutchison (Dunedin) who were at the Grosvenor, left yesterday for the north. Mrs F. S. Batchelor. Dunedin, who is the guest of her daughter, Mrs Harold Elworthy, Craigmore, will return home to-day. Miss Anne Hill, Christchurch, who is the guest of Mrs R. T. Turnbull, Beverley Road, will return home today.
At St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London, the wedding took place quietly on September 14, of Neville John Raymond, youngest son of the late Mr Irven Willis Raymond and Mrs Raymond, of Invercargill and London, to Betty Eunice, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Edmund Freeman, of Bore Place, Chiddingstone, Kent. Miss Greta Stevenson (Dunedin), who travelled to Europe with her aunt. Miss Jean Stevenson, national secretary in New Zealand for the Young Women’s Christian Association, left the Orsova at Naples and went to Geneva, via Italy. While Miss Jean Stevenson was engaged attending the Young Women's Christian Association World’s Council, Miss Greta Stevenson made a tour of Switzerland and stayed for a week with Dr. E. E. Suter, in Aargan. She has now reached London via France, and intends to do research work in botany at the Imperial College, Kensington. Her aunt, after going to Ober-Ammergau, is touring in Holland and Denmai’k.
