A RECORD LOWERED By Telejtraoh Press Association HAMILTON. October 27. The women’s cycling record from Auckland to Hamilton, 83 miles, in five hours 38 minutes, which was established by Miss Violet Baird in 1933, was easily shattered to-day by Mrs E. Harrison (Auckland), who covered the distance in four hours 22 minutes. Mrs Harrison, who is 28 years old. has a family of five children. She learnt to ride a bicycle only nine months ago. She will make an attempt on the Auckland-Wellington record on November 24.
