The Totara was the only vessel to visit the port yesterday. She arrived from Dunedin and after loading for Wellington and New Plymouth, departed for Lyttelton. The Port Whangarei is expected to reach Timaru from Dunedin to-day. She will take Wellington, Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarei shipments and should sail this evening for the north via Lyttelton. The Storm may arrive from the south to-morrow. On Monday she is to load for Wellington, Wanganui and New Plymouth before proceeding to Lyttelton. The Waimarino is scheduled to reach Timaru on Tuesday to load for Picton, Wellington and Auckland. The Opihl is set down to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth at this port on Tuesday. The arrival of the Holmglen from Dunedin has been deferred till Tuesday when she is to load for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato. Kaimai for Survey. The Union Company’s Kaimai, which was due at Wellington yesterday from Greymouth, will undergo overhaul and survey. Rangitiki at Auckland. The motor liner Rangitiki from London to Auckland and Wellington, arrived at Auckland on Tuesday night. The, vessel left London on September 20 and made a smart run out. She is due at Wellington next Monday to complete discharge of her London cargo and to commence Homeward loading. Tainui Homeward Bound. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tainui left Auckland on October 18 for Southampton and London via Panama with passengers, mail and cargo. She is due at London on November 23. Port Gisborne Leaves Dakar. The Port Gisborne, which left Auckland on September 18 for London via Cape Horn and Dakar, sailed from Dakar on September 17. She was due at London on Wednesday. Personal. Captain F. L. G. Jaunay has taken command of the Tamahine, temporarily relieving Captain E. R. Lowe for orders. Mr F. Radford has been engaged as second officer of the Awahou.
