HEAVY LOSSES

BANKRUPT GARAGE PROPRIETOR

By Telegraph—Press Association MARTON, October 25

Following a third examination today of the affairs of W. J. Farmer, a bankrupt garage proprietor, a case is to be submitted to the Crown Solicitor for advice as to whether a public examination should be held. The bankrupt ’s replies were considered unsatisfactory, and the Official Assignee had to rebuke him, saying, “Don’t shuffle.”

The trading account for six months showed heavy losses, for which Farmer could not account.

“Can this stuff be kept out of the Press?” he asked.

The Assignee: You should have considered the consequences of your actions.
