ABOUT OLIVE OIL
Beyond its usual one beside the salad, olive oil has a wide field of usefulness, both for internal and external application. If given a spoonful of the oil every morning, thin and weakly children will visibly improve. Any sickness is taken away if a little orange juice is added to the oil. Besides inside application, rubbing the chest and back with olive oil will be found very efficacious for children’s coughs and colds. If the hair is dry and brittle, a little jlive oil rubbed into the roots regular. j will restore its lustre. Rub in an extra generous application just before shampooing. Chilled salmon benefits tremendously by the addition of a dessertspoonful of olive oil to the water in which it is cooked. It restores its natural flavour, and does away with the dry taste. If chops and steaks are suspected of being tough, rub in a little oil before cooking. You doubtless know that there is nothing like adding to the water a few spots of olive oil, for keeping chamois and skin gloves soft and pliable after washing.
