WAITAKI DAM
TEMPORARY SLUICEWAYS CLOSED By Telegranh Pres? Association OAMARU, September 26. The final stage in the completion of the big dam at the Waitaki Hj'dro is being undertaken to-day. The closing of the last temporary sluiceway is in progress. After these are closed the river will flow through two big permanent sluiceways until the lake is to be filled, which should be very soon.
