OLD MAN STRUCK BY MOTORCYCLIST By Telegraph — Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, September 15. Alfred Reginald Newberry, aged 66, single, an old age pensioner, of Sydenham, who was knocked down by a motor-cycle in Carlyle Street last evening,, died in the Christchurch Hospital early this morning from severe head injuries. He did not regain consciousness. The motorcyclist, Victor Sayers, is still in hospital. His condition is improving. He also sitfeted head injuries.
