PEDIGREE JERSEYS GOOD PRICES REALISED By Telegraph—Press Association HAMILTON, September 13. In spite of the low quotations for butter-fat and the uncertain position : of the dairy industry, dairy farmers : from various parts of New Zealand reacted to the undoubted improvement in conditions at the twelfth annual national Jersey show sale at Claude- • lands, when the best sale for several years was recorded. There was a large and representative bench of buyers on both days of the sale. During the

two days more than 120 pedigree bulls were sold, realising an average of 32 guineas each. Top price was 155 guineas for a six-year-old bull Idaha’s Sunrise sold on account of Mr R. A. Lewis, of Pukekohe, and bought by Mr T. W. Narby, of Helensville. This bull was grand champion of the show held before the sale. An excellent price was secured for the champion yearling of the sale, Greencroft Achievement. Sold on account of Mr J. Bones, of Kaipaki, it was purchased for 137 guineas by Mr H. Rusk, of North Auckland. A yearling on account of Mr P. J. Petersen, of Waitara, was bought by Mr W. L. Dale, of Waihou, for 101 gns. RABBITSKIN SALE There was the usual attendance of buyers at the Dunedin rabbitskin sale on Tuesday, when a large catalogue was offered. Competition was keen for all grades, especially spotty grades for which there was a good demand. As compared with last sale all grades of Winter Bucks were firm, while Spotty and Outgoing Sorts advanced 2d per lb. The demand was not so keen for Does which were par to Id easier.
