MISSING FROM AIRWAYS LINER United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright CAIRO, July 24. Gold bars worth £4,000 despatched from Central Africa to London, mysteriously disappeared from an Imperial Airways liner. The gold arrived at Heliopolis, whence it was conveyed by car and motor-boat under the Customs
officials’ supervision, to the seaplane moored in the Nile. The gold was missmg two hours before the departure of the seaplane. The police declare that there is no proof that the gold was aboard the seaplane. Imperial Airways officials insist It was aboard. An Armenian and an Egyptian who have been arrested. protest their innocence and accuse each other.
