BRIDGE PARTIES

A most successful bridge party in aid of the girls’ marathon was given on Tuesday evening for the Old Girls’ Committee at the home of Mr and Mrs T. E. Holdgate (Branscombe Street) by Misses Joan Holdgate and Rene Vucetich. The rooms were beautifully decorated with spring flowers and greenery. Miss Holdgate received the guests wearing a frock of red crepe de chene, and Miss Vucetich wore a frock of brown velvet relieved with beige. Bridge was played during the evening. the prize-winner being Miss Olga McFarlane.

Those present were: Misses Lorraine Aimes, Isabel Duncan, Joan McCann, Olga McFarlane, Doris Winterbourne, and Ngaira Hogg, and Messrs A. and C. Rollinson, J. Warsaw, J. Hole, A. Souter, R. Jones, P. Sinclair and E. Hunter.
