HELP FOR HARD-UP STATES United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright CANBERRA, July 24. As a result of the recommendations of the Commonwealth Grants Commission, the Federal Ministry has decided to make provision in the Budget for payment during this financial year of grants to smaller States of the following amounts:—South Australia £1,400,000, Western Australia £600,000, Tasmania £400,000.
