Stedman WRESTLING ORIENTALS DRAW. By Telegraph—Press Association HASTINGS, July 20. A wrestling bout between Oki Shikina and Wong Buk Cheung this evening ended in a draw, the contest going the full distance and each gaining a fall. The bout was characterised by very strenuous and particularly clever wrestling. Cheung secured a fall in the fifth round with a body press after a lively series of flying tackles. In the seventh session Shikina cleverly trapped Cheung to toss him with a spring hip throw. OAMARU LOANS SMALL COST OF CONVERSION. By Telegraph —Press Association OAMARU. July 20. The conversion of Oainaru Borough loans totalling £282,000 has been completed at the remarkably small cost of £l3B. A conversion scheme was submitted by the Town Clerk (Mr J. Branthwaite) and adopted by the Council. The saving to the Council will be £3OO to £4OO. Negotiations for the reelase of the sinking funds and the consolidation of the loan held by the Public Trustee have also been completed, the whole conversion being considered exceedingly satisfactory.
