FEES TO BE REDUCED. By Telegraph—Press Association PALMERSTON N„ June 15. At the annual meeting of the Southdown Sheep Society of New Zealand, it was stated that the prolonged effort to get all registered Southdowns into one flock book had been successful. The balance sheet showed a surplus for the year of £6OO. Reserves amounted to over £3500. The chairman, Mr H. Burrell (Pending), suggested keeping the present assets intact, but returning some of the income to members by way of reduced fees. Subsequently the Council was given power to make reductions as thought fit. Officers were elected as follows'— President, Mr H. Burrell; vice-presi-dents Messrs J.Brocks (Canterbury), J. Knight (Peilding); council, Messrs H Burrell, J. Brooks, W. H. Buick (Mastreton), J. Deans (Canterbury), G P Ellis (Bulls), W. J. Gimblett (Hastings), and H. B. Stuckey (Dannevirke).
