ELLSWORTH EXPEDITION

ANOTHER START IN AUGUST. By Telegraph —Press Association DUNEDIN, May 30. Mr Bemt Balchen, pilot of the Ellsworth Antarctic Expedition, writing to a friend in Dunedin under date May 4, from the business address of the Northrop Corporation in California, states that he expects to be back in Dunedin with the aeroplane in the latter part of August. “We are starting our test flights again with the aeroplane to-morrow morrow or the day after,” he writes. “We are going to make some radio tests, and then I am going over to Chicago to pick up Mr and Mrs Ellsworth to fly them out here, and from here over to the East Coast to have the floats of the machine tested. Later I am going to make a trip to Europe to straighten out some matters there, and then to New Zealand."
