COUNTY CHAIRMEN
ELECTION RESULTS. Mr John Henry Powell, of Charleston, has been elected chairman of the Buller County Council. Mr Thomas Richard Chesterman has been elected chairman of the Westland County Council. Mr J. Mulcare has been elected chairman of the Grey County Council unopposed. Mr D. J. Morrow, of Montalto, has been elected chairman of the Ashburton County Council. The retiring chairman, Mr J. Moore, was also nominated, the voting being five all. The candidates then drew lots. Mr D. R. Hoggard has been reelected for the seventh time Hutt County chairman. Mr R. w. Bothamley has been reelected Makara County chairman.
