THE WEATHER
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind.—Moderate to strong westerly to southerly ruling. Weather —changeable, Isolated showers likely. Dominion Meteorologist. General Situation.—An anti-cyclone extends from eastern Australia across the Tasman Sea and northern New Zealand, while a series of slight low pressure waves continue to move towards the Dominion. Winds.—Moderate to strong westerly to south-westerly. Seas (New Zaaland Waters).—Rough on the West Coast and about Cook and Foveaux Straits, elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea.—Moderate to strong winds between west and southwest, with moderate to rather rough seas. Weather. —Changeable and unsettled with further scattered showers in districts with a westerly aspect, elsewhere fair to cloudy. Conditions in Timaru. Unseasonable conditions were again experienced In Timaru yesterday. The temperature was warm in the morning, with traces of a north-west wind, while early in the afternoon the temperature became colder with a heavy overcast sky. About 8 p.m. rain made its appearance and the weather was showery at a late hour.
