TO-DAY'S RECIPE APRICOT PUDDING. £ * 4 tablespoons each of butter J *£ and sugar, 2 teacups flour, 2 eggs. y *> 2 tablespoons milk, 2 tablespoons *** *♦* apricot jam, 1 heaped teaspoon *i, * cream of tartar, 1 level teaspoon * 4* soda. Mix all ingredients to- * * gether, adding the jam last. Put ,*« % into greased basin, cover with v y buttered paper and steam 2 * % hours. Serve with apricot sauce * y made as follows: —3 cup boiling ❖ **■* water, juice of one lemon, 2 £ !♦* tablespoons apricot jam, 1 table- y * spoon cornflour, 1 heaped table- *j* X spoon sugar. Boil water, jam % and lemon juice, dissolve corn- y * flour in a little water and add y f to the boiling mixture, and boil £ X until clear. Pour over the y * pudding. X
