FATAL ASCENT

BODY OF PILOT FOUND. United Press Association—By Electrle Telegraph—Copyright MOSCOW, May 15. The body of Pilot Schrenk of the German balloon that ascended into high altitudes, was found 11 miles from the wreck. The state of the instruments indicated that the balloon crashed at midnight on Sunday. The biggest balloon in Germany, which ascended from Bitterfield on Sunday morning so that the two occupants could measure the intensity of the sun’s rays in the substratosphere, was found wrecked on Monday afternoon near Duraberg on the frontier between Russia and Latvia. The mangled body of Herr Masuch, the meteorologist, was nearby.
