George Edward Hill (18) charged with stealing £3/10/- from his employers, Armstrong and Springhall, and wilfully setting fire :o the premises, pleaded guilty and vas committed for sentence. He told tiie Bench that he was too poorly paid to clothe himself decently, and stole :he money to buy clothes and started the fire to cover the theft. Accused was message boy and was given a cheque to cash to pay 14 small accounts, but paid none. He entered the office after business hours and set fire to some papers.
