KITCHEN TEA PARTY
Miss Linda Morrison, whose marriage will take place early next month was the guest of honour at a kitchen gift tea party on Saturday afternoon given by Mrs Neill Manning and her daughters the Misses Orma and Eileen Manning at their home in Anysley Street. The rooms had been decorated with vases filled with chrysantheums of vivid shadings. Miss Morrison was the recipient of many useful gifts for her future home. During the afternoon competitions were held, the winners being Mrs A. Morrison and Miss D. Kilworth.
The guests included Miss Linda Morrison, her mother, Mrs Arthur Morrison, and her sister, Miss Edna Morrison, Mesdames E. W. Townsend, James. H. Healey, Walk, David Louden, Misses Doreen Callaghan and E. Callaghan, Mona Sidey, O’Neil, Orma Lamb, Lyla Townsend, Doris Kilworth.
Mrs Orford and the Misses Orford have returned to Geraldine after spending several weeks at “Khandallah”, Christchurch. Mr and Mrs A. K. Anderson, St. Andrews College have returned to Christchurch after visiting South Canterbury.
