SHOOTING SEASON. A large number of license holders were out on Tuesday morning to try their skill on the game available at the opening of the 1934 season. Several bags were secured well up to the average of previouse years, the best kills reported being by Messrs R. Yesberg and G. Kilworth on the Waitaki, who bagged 22 ducks on Tuesday and 19 birds yesterday. The best one-day bag of ducks reported on Lake Wainono was that of Mr H. B. S. Johnstone. who secured six in addition to several swans.
