MR DE VALERA FAVOURABLE. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 2, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 2. “The Daily Mail’’ says that the Government has informed Mr J. Maxton, a Labour member of the House of Commons, that M. Leon Trotsky will not be permitted to reside in Britain. Mr Maxton is now approaching Mr De Valera who is expected to agree.
