Mr and Mrs T. Greig (Waikari), arc staying at the Empire. Mrs Fookes and Miss M. Fookes (Taihape) are staying at the Grand. Mrs H. Hay, “Cadogan,” Slefton Street, is on a visit to Dunedin. Mr and Mrs Bishop, King Country, are staying with Mrs E. Vincent, Kingsdown. Mrs A. C. Begg and Miss Begg (Dunedin) are visiting Timaru and are at the Grand. Mr and Mrs I. Schaffer (Oamaru), who were staying at the Dominion, have left for Auckland. Miss G. Acton Adams, who was at the Grosvenor, has returned to Kaikoura. Mr and Mrs Basil Shaw (Albury) who were at the Grosvenor, left yesterday on their return to Albury. Mr and Mrs J. Bennett, “Burnie Downs,” Southburn, left on Tuesday for Hanmer, Blenheim and Nelson. Miss Ella Undrill, Auckland, who is the guest of Miss Grace Henderson, Aynsley Street, will leave for Queenstown on Saturday. Mr and Mrs Price Ballantyne, who were visitors to Timaru for the Williams—Elworthy wedding, returned to Christchurch yesterday. Sir Hugh and Lady Acland, who were visitors to Timaru for the Williams--Elworthy wedding, have returned to Christchurch. Mr and Mrs F. Milnes (Christchurch), Mr and Mrs Milne and Mrs W. Laidlaw (Dunedin) are staying at the Grosvenor. Mr and Mrs Satterthwaite, England, who were staying with Mrs C. Miller, Woodbury, left yesterday to stay with Mrs Charles Macfarlane, Waiau.
Miss Hart and Mr Hart, Queensland, who were the guests of Mrs Bruce Murray, "Godley Peaks,” Mackenzie Country, are now staying with Mrs R. H. Hunter-Weston, Mt. John, Tekapo. Mr and Mrs H. D. Acland, Mrs George Gould and Miss Barbara Gould, who were visitors to Timaru for Miss Josephine Elworthy’s marriage, have returned to Christchurch. Mr and Mrs A. C. Acland, Mrs Beauchamp Lane, Mrs E. V. Palmer, Misses L. G. and H. Thomson, L. N. Firth and H. C. Buchanan (Christchurch) who were at the Grosvenor, returned north yesterday. Mrs Marmaduke Bethell, “Fahau Pastures,” North Canterbury, and Miss Margaret Cotterill, Christchurch, who are the guests of Mrs J. M. Tripp, ‘‘Silverton,” Woodbury, will return home to-day.
Dr Ernest Williams and Miss Barbara Williams, Dunedin, are the guests of Mrs P. R. Woodhouse, Bluecliffs. Dr. Williams will return south to-day and Miss Williams will leave to stay with her sister, Mrs Forbes OTtorke, Hororata.
