MEMORY OF GERMAN ACE HONOURED. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright BERLIN, April 23. German airmen mounted guard of honour at the grave of Baron von Richthofen, the famous German flying ace, in the Ilvaliden cemetery in commemoration of the sixteenth anniversary of his death. Every German schoolboy is taught the story of his career, and that he was undefeated. The Nazi organ “Beobachter” asserts that General von Goering’s investigations established that “Richthofen was making a forced landing behind the enemy lines, probably due to engine trouble, when Captain Roy Brown, a Canadian, of the Royal Air Force, shot him down from behind, not knowing that Richthofen’s machine was out of action. It may be recalled that the British air history on March 30 definitely states that Brown out manoeuvred Richthofen.
